Math
How many shapes did you make with an area of 6 cm² on your geoboard? Was the perimeter the same for all shapes?
Make a few using the online geoboard:
https://www.mathlearningcenter.org/web-apps/geoboard/

Remember for a rectangle with a width of 4 cm and length of 8 cm:

Area = length x width
         = 8 cm x 4 cm
         = 32 cm²

Perimeter = (length + width) x 2
                 = (8 cm + 4 cm) x 2
                 = 12 cm x 2
                 = 24 cm

Area is measured in SQUARE UNITS while perimeter is LINEAR UNITS (length).

Time test tomorrow. Make sure you study from your red duotang and the textbook. Look at yesterday's post for review questions from the textbook.
