Math
Today we wrapped up Data Management with a discussion of the mean of a set of number. The mean is the rearrangement of numbers to make equal shares. For example the mean of:

 0, 5, 1, 1, 3 is 2

Why? If we think of each of those numbers as stacks of blocks, they would look like this:

To find the mean we would rearrange all the blocks so there are the same amount of blocks in each stack:

We can also calculate the mean by using a "math formula".

Find the mean of the following numbers in your math notebook:

1)  6, 7, 4, 4, 9, 3, 2, 3, 7, 4, 9
2)  32, 38, 33, 33
3) 6, 7, 8
4) 12, 14, 16
5) Create a group of four numbers that has a mode of 4 and a mean of 5.

Everyone worked really hard to complete their health assignment and complete their double bar graph. Bravo! Just a few left.

I will be conferencing with people over the next few weeks. It is essential that you self-regulate your behaviour.

Today we looked at different reasons why people immigrated to the Interior Plains in the past and more recently. What were some of the reasons?
Make sure you understand the meaning of immigrate.
Complete your chart of the costs and benefits of immigrating to the Interior Plains. The reasons are in your book. The costs and benefits are in your head which requires some....
