Today we continued our discussion of the Feast of the Epiphany. Most groups did a great job coming up with the main idea of the gospel....
The Feast of the Epiphany is about three kings who followed the star to Bethlehem to pay homage to Jesus, a newborn king.
Think about
Where were the kings from?
For whom did the star shine?
Why did kings travel all that way to see Jesus?
Be prepared to write the message of the gospel tomorrow. Make sure you have proof from the gospel reading that supports your idea and of course, be able to explain your idea and proof.

Don't forget to find out the answers to the questions from yesterday's post!
Math
Today we organized our paper clip linking data into intervals and constructed a bar graph with intervals.
Take a look at this graph:
How many students watch between 6-8 hours of television?
How many students watch 9 or more hours of television?
What are two other conclusions you can make from the bar graph?
What are three conclusions you can make from the bar graph below?
Please practice your addition facts. Most students have good accuracy of addition facts, but your speed is far below grade level. You should be able to do 100 questions in 5 minutes. Here are some practice sheets:

We also reviewed a little about fractions....
What is ½
of 36?
What is ¼
of 36?
What is ¾
of 36?
Social Studies
We continued our discussion on natural resources in the Cordillera. All groups completed a rough mind map of the four main natural resources: water, soil (farming), mining and logging. Tomorrow you will begin your mind map. Please make sure you take some time and answer the Explore and Apply question carefully.
