Religion
Today we talked about the Feast of the Epiphany (January 6th). What objects do we associate with this feast? We read from the gospel according to Matthew. Tomorrow with your group you will discuss what the story is about. The first sentence of our summary strategy. Who was the story about? Where were they going? Why did they go? The big idea or message has to do with the star.....
Where were the kings from?
For whom does a star shine?
Who did Jesus come to save?

What three gifts did the kings give Jesus? Why were they valuable?

What were the names of the three kings and where were they from?

Math
Wonderful job linking paper clips and elastics. We gathered some great data. Tomorrow we will look at stem and leaf plots and use our data to construct stem and leaf plots.
Make sure you complete your Mathletics assignments.

Social Studies
Much better job making connections between the landforms and the jobs and recreational interests of people who live in the Cordillera. Tomorrow we will continue with natural resources. Make sure you write the meaning of a natural resource and the different types of natural resources. Use the box on the top left hand side of page 18 as a guide. Copy the definitions in your Social Studies notebook.

Reminders:

  • bring indoor shoes and gym clothes
  • cereal and bar labels for Health
  • go through posts from January 2nd to January 6th
  • study addition facts to 20 (timed quiz tomorrow)
