Quiz tomorrow on adding and subtracting decimals. For tomorrow you must know:
- How to label decimals on a number line
- How to add decimals using pencil and paper and mental math
- Subtracting decimals using pencil and paper, mental math and a number line.
- Estimating sums and differences by rounding decimals to the nearest whole number.
The quiz will be skills based (no word problems)

We continued to work on our character trait question. Putting all the ideas together is a bit of a challenge for some of you. Remember to keep your sentences simple and clear.

Social Studies
Today we looked at the costs and benefits of open pit mining and oil/natural gas drilling in the Arctic. Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to formulate some good critical thinking questions to research.
