Many students had difficulty with long division on the quiz. Please review long division. To check if you are correct, you multiply the quotient (answer) x divisor (what you divided by) then add the remainder. You should get your dividend (the number you divided). PLEASE USE THE STUDY GUIDE. Some of you will be getting another long-division quiz tomorrow. Others will be moving onto another concept in your study guide.

Everyone seemed to understand how to place fractions on a number line. Because you knew how to say fractions and decimals correctly, the link to decimals was pretty easy.

Many of you are almost finished your brochure. Once again you are welcome to stay after school to finish up. This assignment is part of your grade on your report card.

Reminders:

• Soccer tournament tomorrow. Wear the colours your team decided on Thursday. Bring PLENTY OF WATER. and snacks. It's hard work playing soccer! We will be at the fields that are some distance from the school. No cleats. Wear sunscreen and a hat. If it is raining, check the blog and I'll post if it has been cancelled. If it is raining and there is nothing posted on the blog, a decision hasn't been made yet so come to school ready to play.
