On Sunday we celebrate the second week of Advent. The second Advent candle is the purple peace candle. On Friday we met an important new testament prophet, John the Baptist. Watch the video to understand the importance of John's message in our lives today.

Please make sure you go onto past posts/links to practice finding locations of vertices using coordinates. Many of you are still having difficulty constructing a congruent quadrilateral on dot paper from a geoboard model. Here are a few links for virtual geoboards that may help. Practice making congruent quadrilaterals. Start with easy ones, squares, rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, then move onto irregular quadrilaterals. Use the vertices to help!

Grade 5 please practice constructing triangles. Your ability to measure angles has improved, but applying your skills to construct triangles is still a little tricky. Please complete these triangles at home:

Triangle 1: 75º, 7 cm, 8 cm

Triangle 2: 70º, 25º, 8 cm

Triangle 3: 9 cm, 8 cm, 100º

Triangles 4: 110º, 40º, 6 cm

 

Reminders:

• Christmas concert Tuesday, December 6th @ 6:30 pm for the entire class. Please dress appropriately for Church i.e. no jeans, sweatpants. You are welcome to wear a Santa/ Christmas hat if you wish.
