Math
Please review the different properties of addition and subtraction from yesterday. Those who did not complete the blog questions, still need practice.
Today we used our rounding skills to find an estimate to determine if an answer is reasonable. Not a lot of homework questions, but a lot of communicating. We will be having a test on addition and subtraction next week. Please make sure you are able to use a variety of strategies add and subtract multi-digit numbers.
Try these questions:

More than 300 students at a school support the Edmonton Oilers.
Almost as many students at the school support the Calgary Flames.
Pick a number of supporters for each team.
How many team supporters are there altogether?
Show your work.

Some ducks were at the pond. Then some geese showed up.  If there were more geese than ducks,
but less than 20 ducks and geese altogether, how many of each might there have been?

Religion
We will continue tomorrow with our Beatitude skits.

Literacy
Most have written a first draft of their small moment. Tomorrow your moment will be given to a classmate to check whether you have included all the success criteria.

Social Studies
We touched a bit on the different kind of research questions. Factual questions, opinion questions and critical thinking questions. Soon you will have to formulate your own questions and find the answers. We began our assignment on the different levels of industries in the Interior Plains. Please make sure you have all the information you need. You must know specific names of industries at each level in the Interior Plains starting with one natural resources as the primary industry.

Art
The art pieces are coming along. Everyone is working hard..... painting does take a lot of time. Great job!
