Math
Today we looked at the relationship between length of sides in a rectangle and the area and perimeter. Try these:
Find the area of all the rectangles with a perimeter of 18 cm. Which rectangle has the greatest area?

Find the perimeters of all the different rectangles with an area of 18 cm2. Which rectangle has the greatest perimeter?

Science
Try to put together your paper model of the respiratory system in your notebook. It should look like this:

Here is a bit of background information about a few of the parts of the respiratory system we did not talk about:

The epiglottis is super for swallowing. It's the part of your body that flops down over the windpipe when you swallow to keep food from going into your lungs. Without your epiglottis, you would cough or choke every time you eat.

The pharynx, or throat, is a part of the body that helps with eating and with breathing. It is a passage that leads from the mouth and nose to the esophagus and the larynx. The esophagus is part of the digestive system, and the larynx is part of the respiratory system.

The larynx sits at the top of the windpipe, or trachea. It helps produce vocal sounds and closes the windpipe during swallowing so that no food particles pass into the lungs.
