Today we discussed CAPACITY. It is the amount a liquid a container can hold. The units for measuring capacity are litres and millilitres.
1 L = 1000 mL
A drop of water is 1 mL
A cup of water is 250 mL
A teaspoon is 5 mL
How many cups in 1 L?
How many teaspoons in a cup?
What fraction of a litre is a cup?
How much is 3/4 of a litre?
Try this:
A can of Campbell's Soup is 320 mL. To make the soup you need to add 2 cans of water. Which pot would you use, 500 mL, 750 mL or 1 L? Explain.
Test on perimeter and area on Wednesday. Review using questions from the blog.
Literacy
Everyone picked a wordless picture book to write a humorous story. Make sure you use the success criteria. TELL THE STORY USING DIALOGUE. Add narrative only when needed to help the reader understand the plot.
Science
Make sure you understanding the job of each part of the blood.
Think carefully on the two questions assigned for homework.
Think about what the right ventricle has to do..... where does it pump blood to?
