Today we practiced TRANSLATIONS or slides. Remember, when you slide a shape, slide a vertex (point) on the shape and then draw the shape with the point in the exact same position. Try the handouts tonight. If you have any questions, come see me. We have no interruptions tomorrow!
Review for your test. Use your notebook and your textbook. You should be able to:
- Identify the main parts of the circulatory system: heart, blood, blood vessels (arteries, veins, capillaries)
- Follow a drop of blood through the circulatory system and tell what happens while it circulates.

- Label the parts of the heart and the major blood vessels (aorta, pulmonary arteries, pulmonary veins)
- Identify the parts of the blood and the job of each (plasma, blood cells, platelets)
- List and explain three ways to keep your circulatory system healthy
- Outline an experiment to test the effect of exercise on heart rate (question, hypothesis, materials, procedure). For example, Nicholas would like to know the effect of running four laps each day for one week on his heart. Outline an experiment that he could conduct.
Thank you to students who brought their bones home to cut out. You will be able to put together your joint much more easily.
